The Honda HF2417 HME is powered by a 4-stroke OHC V-twin Honda GCV530, 530 cc .This engine which provides exceptionally smooth performance and easy starting every time.

The HF2417 HME features a Honda exclusive pneumatic blade brake control, providing excellent safety features. These features only allow you to cut in reverse once you have de-pressed a button on the dash. The full LED diagnostic electronic dashboard presents the key information so that it is easily presented to you. Not only that, but it also features automatically activated headlights.

With an ergonomically designed adjustable high-back seat and improved pedal and cutter controls, this garden tractor is incredibly comfortable.

The fuel tank is at the rear of the machine, to reduce the risk of any fuel spilling. Not only that, when the tank is at the front, the engine heat decreases the quality of the fuel.

Honda Cutting & Collection Features

The very large 102 cm anti-scalp cutting deck allows the deck to float over uneven ground to protect the lawn. The cutting deck also has a hose cleaning nozzle and anti-rust treatment.

With hydrostatic drive the blades turn at a constant speed, regardless of how fast or slow the tractor is travelling. This provides variable speed control for the perfect grass finish.

The Honda HF2417 HME has a 300 litre grass bag which has a bag full indicator. With 7 cutting heights between 30 - 90 mm, it provides you with the option of choosing your ideal grass finish.

The better arrangement for superior cutting performance and results. Honda renowned ingenuity has developed a blade arrangement using the synchronous method. With the synchronised timing belt, the blades spin together at  90˚ angle, providing a smooth and effective cut and collection.

MULCHING MADE EASY

Versamow® is Honda’s very own integrated variable mulching system. Honda's Versamow™ selective mulching system will collect the grass cuttings into the bag or finely shred them. If your grass is long or rough, you can just collect grass clippings in the grass bag. But if your grass has barely grown, or it has just rained you can select mulching and fertilize your garden. Or you can keep your grass tidy and collect the clippings in one area and with a push of the lever do a rough cut in other areas. The mulching/clippings provide your garden with a perfect natural fertilizer. Whatever you decide, you can use the same machine, no mulching kit to add, nothing to bolt in.

Nothing to add or bolt on – it’s all part of the tractor’s many features. By moving the ergonomically fitted lever you can select if you want to collect grass or mulch. Mulching helps your grass grow healthy and strong, for a perfect finish.

A normal cutter deck is completely sealed, apart from the opening at the bottom. Honda’s R&D team calculated that by using the strong power generated by the engine, it could draw more air in from the top. So by adding more holes at that point, the fans were able to suck in huge volumes of air to improve grass collection.

Powerful fans

Two huge fans attached to the rotating blades draw the air in from the top of the cutter deck. This accelerated air is channeled by fan guards into the ejection canal intake – like a high-pressure blower – taking all the grass clippings with it. They’re our number one fans.

Less clogging

The ejection chute is another Honda innovation that makes these Premium Lawn Tractors the top choice for collecting grass. Considerable time was taken to tune this patented component, and after many hours of rigorous testing it proved to be an outstanding solution – with class-leading results that reduced the risk of clogging.

Larger collection bag

The powerful airflow generated within the cutter deck meant we could fit a large collection bag at the rear. This patented “flamenco dress” design (castanets not included) allows the largest possible mesh material to be used for a continual flow, making it possible to completely fill the bag.

QUALITY POWER IN THE HONDA HF2417 HME

Honda ride on mowers are equipped with a Honda V-Twin engine. The two-cylinder technology offers all the advantages and is key to the robustness of the set: it is built for intensive use, offering greater power and better fuel efficiency, lower emissions and lower noise levels.

The fuel tank is located under the rear cover, instead of under the hood, thus distancing itself from the engine tank. This keeps the quality of the fuel, because it keeps it away from the heat of the engine, thus preventing its evaporation. To improve its durability, the deposit thickness is 2 mm, compared to the standard 1.5 mm.

This model includes synchronized double blades, for symmetrical cutting, resulting in superior work.

The two blades are synchronized with a timing belt to maintain a 90º angle, which guarantees better collection performance, less jamming and less uncut areas when turning. In addition, the new ball bearings of the cutting housing extend their useful life, while improving the robustness of the cutting system. The new steel belt guide reduces the possibility of slippage and makes it much more durable.
